Situation is.......this was my 1st year of proper cycling. I have just built up to 50/70 milers. I cycle for pleasure and DO NOT ENJOY WINTER/RAIN/WIND
I have a static excercise bike which is quite good as I can change resistance etc. while on the move and it gives calories/distance/average speed etc. I used it over winter and found it helped a lot with leg strength and general fitness etc.
I am thinking of trying a turbo trainer.
I want one that is..................
easy to set up
feels something like being on a real bike
costs £100-150ish.
So a couple of questions........
Can I get what I want for that money ?
Halfords have some offers........are there's any good ?
Thanks

Funny that I have just set up my tacx-satori bargain from Wiggle's.

Reason I bought it two fold, I can safely calibrate my power meter indoors and I can easily pack it up and take it on cycling forays in the mountains to use as a cool down after a hard day on the hills.

Assembly was a little confusing and I found a great clip on Youtube that was sooooo bad, as well as a useful and practicable one.

Great bit of kit it seems, calibration a success, a happy camper.

I use an Elite Force and recommend it! Though any turbo trainer will do the job. If you pick up an old steel bike then you can just leave it set up for the not so nice days!
Also, play loud background music and set up a fan in front to keep you kool at all times :becool:

That's my two pence worth.

:thanks:
