turbo trainer skewer

just purchaes a cycleops fluid2 turbo trainer second hand off e bay. it came with a skewer. is this universal??? in process of purchasing bike so would i just swap skewers or use omne that comes with bike??? or would i be better buying a cheap bike for the turbo trainer.

generally, skewers are interchangeable. New bike skewer may have the correct domed ends to fit turbo - or just use the turbo skewer in the bike.
