Tubs v Clinchers

Tubs were a required fitment for racing back in the day when clinchers were slow and heavy and are still favoured by pros and elite riders, but a complete pain in the butt for day to day use particularly as clinchers are now fairly close in terms of performance.

Yeah, but riding a high quality tub is a great feeling. Not sure if glue technology has come on in the last 30 years (I've only just passed that age milestone) but I've never had an issue in baking hot conditions descending Alps at a decent clip.
