On my 2013? Transition TT, I want to take the elbo pads & long rods off, & maybe just use the bull horn type bars. But I want to retain my end-bar-shifters. Don't want to do the cost of new drop bars & 105 type shifters - cause I don't ride that much.
Any ideas where & how I can relocate the end-bar-shifters closer to where my hands will be near the brake levers?

Could you do a 10 speed RH / 2 speed LH trigger shifter such as a Shimano / SRAM / Microshift / etc. clamped onto the bar somewhere? It'll depend on the pull length for the rear derailleur cable though. Such as this:

Alternatively Microshift do a 10-speed thumb shifter that could be clamped onto the bull bar part:

You could take the padded arm rests off and cut the rods down to about 100mm just to house the shifters. Not ideal I know but the shifters would be closer. I can’t really think of any other solution a part from changing the bar and buying new brake/shifters which would be costly.

New bars are not expensive. PlanetX have a set for £4.99.

Your current gear levers should fit in the ends of the drop bars.

Traditional brake levers as little as £16.99 (tektro).

May have to re-cable the brakes, if the ends are mashed up, but overall, not too expensive to get back to a normal road bike.
