The boss and I are scratching our heads trying to remember the name of a restaurant where we took her parents to celebrate either her Dad's or Mum's birthday, probably in 1976.
It was to the west of London - I seem to recall it being somewhere in the Guildford/Farnham/Camberley area - and it was set in grounds of its own rather than a built-up area. I have a vague recollection that it was some sort of country house, possibly two or three floors, and I remember it being quite posh (I had wood-pigeon ).
I'm convinced that it had a one-word, short name, possibly that of the owners.
Not much to go on, I'm afraid, but maybe it will ring a bell with someone - here's hoping !
