trying to remove cassette

quick question..

I have done this a couple of times before but seems it is one of those days...
I have my cassette removal tool on the wheel, quick release skewer tightly in place and am trying to remove my cassette... instead of coming undone, something (assuming freehub) is clicking at me. this is the direction that does not spin freely... I assume this is not a good thing? or am I having a bad monday morning and need more caffine?

thanks in advance....

Are you using a chain whip to stop the cassette from turning.

I'm only laughing because my lockring tool didn't fit the cassette on St's new wheel! There's me thinking I'm all equipped.......

I had the same issue the first time I tried to remove a rear cassette, then I bought a lock ring removal tool that fit better and was amazed at how easy removing the cassette was using the new tool.
