No bikes come with clipless pedals as standard, most bikes beyond a certain price point don't even come with any pedals full stop, my best bike didn't but it wasn't an issue as I had my own to put on it.
There are so many different pedal systems available, and most experienced cyclists who ride clipless have their own preference which is why they don't come as standard.
FYI, most people start off with SPD pedals as they are dual sided so they are easier to clip into, but for road use most, (not all though), end up using SPD-R or similar IME.
[EDIT] Cross posted with TS there, so I stand corrected, but maintain I've never known this, and it's certainly not the norm with other manufacturers.
Perhaps you could tell the OP which pedal system you get with with Triban 5 PS?
