Triban 3a - replacement hanger

My Triban 3a has been on the road for 3 years now covering in excess of 5000 miles. It has had many many facelifts, repairs and replacements - let's just say there are very few original bits on the machine.

The rear hanger is in quite a state. It's started to literally disintegrate on me and it needs replaced. The only problem is I have no idea what hanger to get as a replacement. I'd appreciate any input if anyone has replaced one themselves!

Have you tried asking the mechanic at a Decathlon store for the hanger? I bet they've got them on the shelf, Decathlon's mechanics are generally pretty good, better than Halfrauds anyway.

I have done, making the phonecall to the store just now - the only issue is that it is 70mi away... i suppose i'm in for a ride!

They could post it to you against a credit card payment!

You'll have trouble getting one from any other shop.

No dice... Decathlon Edinburgh have them (yay!) but I can't get them to send it. The chap in the bike department did suggest heading to the LBS (which i will) to pick one up, it's an 8mm drop hanger and a standard Shimano part. He then also suggested he could buy it and send it to me - top lad! I may end up taking him up on the offer.

I've got almost the same problem..... I need a new hanger for my Triban 3 Red. There's a few on the Decathlon website but none the right shape. I'm only 45 miles from the nearest Decathlon. But I still don't want to go there.....
