Your main issue is top tube length.

Seat tube varies depending upon how compact the geometry is, and you can ignore it.

Some give a virtual seat tube height as it it was a horizontal top tube.

Aye, I'm a 54 Cannondale, but the seat post isn't too far out. Think a 54 in a Triban is about right, assuming the picture is correct.

When you are setting them up, you can get the same stem, but you may or may not need the same spacers due to head tube height. If one is way out from the other, then you may need a different size frame and a longer/shorter stem.

It's tricky, but so long as the frame measurements are within near enough then you will be fine.

I've got two 56s in conventional old Skool, but 54 in modern geometry. The two 56s are a little different, but ride very similar with positions.

Yes, agree I have all the measurements from my bike fit. I will set the new bike up on the trainer then get the OH to measure up and fettle around.

Might just but another CAAD off the Bay:whistle:
