After some advise on bars for a road bike.

I have a Carrera Vanquish which I use for training on road and turbo trainer.

For whatever reason I just cant get a comfortable fit with the bars. Tried standars tri-bars; felt better but not right still. Someone suggested I try changing my drops for the "bulls horn" type bars sometimes seen on tri bikes and TT bikes.

I have a vague idea in my head but cant say I know what they are called to even Google them; any ideas or thought?

Thanks....

They are called bull horns or base bars, but I'd say you're better off getting a proper fit on your bike. Have you got the right sized frame?

Bullhorns will give you the same position as the hoods. So you gain nothing and lose the drops. You'd also have to get bar end shifters.

I agree with Will1985 - if your bike fits you should be fine with drops.

What exactly is your problem with the drops? Are you too stretched out?
