Hi all,

Wondering if you could help me please.

I picked up a Tacx Neo 2 but I'm having difficulty getting my Trek Boone RSL 2017 Cyclocross bike to fit on the trainer.

Seems as though the skewers are not long/wide enough.

Can anyone confirm if this bike should fit on the trainer please?

Should not be any problem. Just to check, you are not using the thru axle adaptors that come with the Neo are you?

I'm attempting to use the QR level included with the Neo 2, it's the 135mm (I believe) lever with just two springs and the circular nob shaped locking nut on the other end of it.

Without sounding silly what should the frame actually sit on? I bought the trainer on Ebay with a Shimano 11 speed cassette already attached, the previous person was using thru axle skewers I believe and it looks almost like there is an adaptor or something missing if that makes sense?

The Trek Boone uses the same axles as my Specialised crux a 142mm Thru axle. So I would dig out the neo's 142mm thru axle if you have one or you may need to buy one, at the moment the prices of these can be silly, the one for my elite turbo was over 40 quid.

It should look like this

Zoomed in the bike should sit on the black bits the arrows point to.

You should have got all the adaptors to go with the turbo trainer. This so it can accept 130/135QR frames or thru axles the same and MTB wide frame 142mm setups. I got a bag of attachments with my Neo 2

You haven't got the correct parts for QR

It should look like Milkfloat's pictures

The adaptors unscrew

I think you need. these from Tacx
S0041. Also you need an extra spacer collet if your wheel gap is 135mm- I dont see the collet listed. I would email Tacx

Edit I see you have the collet Far right part nearest tape measure

So ordering these should do the trick?

https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/p/699871/#overview

So do they just screw on to the actual machine and then the fork sits on that?
Yes the one currently fitted are taken off. You use an allen key to undo them. Measure between your rear wheel frame to see if its 135mm. Add collet (to left non drive side) and new parts to work with QR bike frame

This Youtube shows the procedure and tools

Actually its doing the opposite of your setup, removing QR for thru axle adaptors- follow video with new parts

I've ordered the adaptors on the Tacx site.

Just attempted to remove the existing ones, should they just come off easily? It's like they've been put on by the Hulk not even a slight movement when twisting them :/

Are you sure these go on/off with an allen key as there isn't anything for a key to go into? Are they not wrench removed?
