Trek 1.2 fully loaded?

Iv just had a bargain off eBay and got me a mint 2009 trek 1.2, I also have a boardman hybrid which iv done a little bit of touring on. Will the trek be ok with a rack and full rear panniers?

I would assume that it would be no less capable than the Boardman, that is hardly a purpose built tourer either is it.

True. It has all the fitting to attach a rack so i assume it will be ok.

whats ideal? will 25+ tyres help? isnt it the wheel that makes the different?
