Ride It Like You Stole It!
Location
South Manchester
Perfectly doable, Sections I know are from Bridgewater Canal over towards Mottram.

There are some sections before you get to Didsbury that are sand or a jagged brick surface, so a little pushing might be needed as you follow the Mersey near the flood overflows. Further East it's variable but can be done of a hybrid. Weather plays a part, but it's been a dry Spring so should be good.

Looks a really great trip not far from home either!
Does it pass through any really rough parts of Manchester..?
What's the trail over the Pennines like?

I've done it, over 3 days with stops at Hatfield and Snaith. Most of it seemed fairly well signposted, but I'd definitely recommend buying the maps.

The middle section, over the Woodhead pass is probably the prettiest but also the gnarliest as you need to go over the pass rather than under.
