Now TrainingPeaks Virtual is a thing, I thought someone should start a thread for it, and as nobody else has - I decided it may as well be me.

Feel free to post anything related to TPV on here, including " How Do I" questions, streams, results or planned rides.

I am Martin norris onTPV if anyone wants to look me up.

Thanks Martin, my annual swift membership ends on January 20th so planning on pausing it for a few weeks to try out other apps before probably going back.

Tpv is top of the list as I understand it is now on Apple TV?

nice to see you Norry - me ,Breedon (Dean) and Brusgaard have been using tvp for a bit now and entered the 10 race /10 day challenge (I only did enough to be counted) would be nice if we mention what races we might enter so others can look out for them
I am guessing tvp racing is more realistic ( not ever raced for real ) as cornering adds technique and wind , draft play a big part - what do you think , I know you do a bit for real ? got to be better than throwing power ups everywhere like bleeding mario^_^

You shot off like a rocket , welcome to pen 3 that race was awful for me struggling with heart rate just crawled over the finish 28th 🤨

Just realised I was in pen 4

Yes, I did wonder where you where after you being with us the first couple of kilometers. But I continued riding until everyone had finished and saw you finish some 6 minutes after me.
I knew I was never gonna win with that uphill section, and sure enough, I was dropped on it and had to claw back 50 meters to just about catch the 3 in front just before the flat finish. I was spent at that time, and they started the sprint just before I caught them, so no point in even trying. Had an 8 second gap to the guy behind at that point, so more or less just rolled to the finish line…

I have been in pen 3 twice and pen 4 for the other 5 races.

17th Jan for me ... same, I'll be using free aps until I have to start paying for them and then will choose the one that best suits the riding I'm doing at that time. TVP is free until April so give 3-4 months of free riding and then who knows, we may even have decent weather by then to go outside haha

Hiya Dean - didn't realise you were on TVP too. How's your riding been, not seen you online for ages. All well with you?

There is definitely more technique in TVP and I think the physics/dynamics are much better.

And yes, this is the place to post up any rides/races you are doing.

Performance verification plus built-in duals capability is excellent as well. It does seem to be a platform built with racing in mind. He also seems to have built the feature list by addressing ALL the complaints from the Zwift Forums

I ran a couple of Omniums last year which were great fun.

Cornering sounds interesting?

Is there any sort of zwiftinsider type guides/YouTube channels that are worth looking at? I'll probably look for dcrainmaker and gplama
