training without a bike??

hi, can anyone tell me what is the best way to train without a bike, i am planning to ride through next summer, but i need to build my strength up, will it be running? I dont have access to a gym, just the outdoors and a dog

Your post is a little difficult to comprehend, why can't you just go out and cycle now?;)

The jogging is excellent, especially if you have some hilly trails near you and the dog will love it. Don't forget to stretch afterwards.

apparently it's done with magnets in the shoes :smile:

not to be confused with this, this is an invisible bike (you see, the cat has no shoes)....

Pack a backpack full of stones, cans of beans or anything else heavy.

Find a tall building with a stairway. Multi storey carpark, block of flats, lighthouse etc.

Walk up the stairs two steps at a time at your regular cycling cadence... and don't forget the backpack. :laugh:

If you're any good at carpentry, make a stepmill. It looks like a hamster wheel, but bigger and has a brake.
