Yes, keep going, don't stop. You'll be fine.

If there was a problem they would have told you

but read the leaflet that comes with them anyway

if in doubt then ask the pharmacist that you normally go to - they know more about drugs that doctors

I've been on the same drug types for 14 years. It's absolutely no problem. As said below exercise will complement and help your recovery from whatever. Sounds like high cholesterol and blood pressure? Or have you had a heart attack? That's why I take these drugs.

I was put on Simvastatin (cholesterol) and Ramipril (BP) in 2006 when I had a TIA. I'm still on them, now age 64 - and I do about 200 miles a week, train hard and race. So unless you have been advised not to, I'd go for it. Any concerns, just check with GP.

Yes Hypertension and Cholesterol

I am on them due my recent TIA
Cholesterol has always been OK so I assume it is a "just in case" thingy

BP is always high when a doctor/nurse takes it - at home it is fine - but after the TIA they put me on the tablets anyway
first part of the BP seems to have come down and the nurse the other day said it was perfect now
(the nurse was taking it as part of an appointment at the GP surgery - before @Drago comes up with other suggestions!!!)
