I'm going over at the end of August and wouldn't mind hiring a bike for a day or two. I just don't where to start looking to hire one!?

You could always try Tenerife-training.net, since nobody else on the island seems to do it!

You can hire a bike from BikePoint tenerife. They have two shops based in the South of the island. They have carbon frames with Ultegra, Ultegra DTi and Dura Ace. Reasonable prices too:

I actually foolishly thought that this might be someone's personal experience of cycling on Tenerife not a blatant publicity stunt to attract attention to a commercial website.
