Hi all,

I have a few days holidays remaining and fancy trying some cycle training in Majorca. I have not done this before and wondered if anyone can offer any advice. I may be travelling alone but not sure yet. I was thinking of hiring a bike in Puerto Pollensa then going out on the organised rides from the pro cycle hire place as I believe they do daily ones. One of the other options would be to go with an organised group. Not sure where to start so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I can recommend pro cycle. Hired a bike from them for 5 days and also joined them on there morning bike rides. .
Very enjoyable and helpful.

Thanks Judder,
I want to try and do it as cheap as I can so this may be the best option. What is the standard of the rider on these rides do people get dropped? Also how far are the rides and do they go out every day?

Cheers

What's your base fitness like ? The mountains are superbe if you have a good climbing fitness, but I would imagine a mare if not ! Never ridden on Majorca, although holiday'ed there loads. You could always pick flatter rides, or indeed pace yourself. Bear in mind though, you will need to plan a mountain ride as there aren't many roads to chose from, so set a ride based upon the distance you want to ride. Stunning scenery though. I was on a coach trip in the mountains and was itching to jump out and grab a bike, but instead was cleaning up vomit from my daughter who got bad travel sickness from all the twisty turns.
