[FONT=SVXSMB+FoundrySans-Normal]There are many trailerbikes on sale, but most of them attach via the seat post, which is not designed as a hitching post, and this arrangement does not produce stable cornering. This Islabike version has a much better and more stable arrangement, with the towing hitch vertically above the towing bike’s back wheel, on a specially reinforced rear carrier which can also carry your panniers. You can see a picture of the current one on the Islabikes web site http://www.islabikes.co.uk/bike_pages/trailerbike.html Mine is the same frame but with a S/A 3 speed hub gear. The fastening is simple and very secure: two quick release shoulder nuts. The whole trailer-cycle is well finished and very light, so that even with a passenger on the back you hardly notice you’re towing it. In fact this combination feels much more like a tandem than a bike with a bit on the back !! The passenger has three gears, which are a useful added boost on hills, and a mudguard to keep them dry in the rain. The fully adjustable handlebars mean that even a small 3 1/2 year old had a comfortable riding position yet they can be adjusted for much bigger kids up to an inside leg measurement of 56cm. The latest version of this costs 220 pounds and this s/h one is being sold for 120 pounds. Condition is used but sound, everything works as it should but there are a few scratches and scuffs as it been used by kids !![/FONT]
