I am having a problem finding a good replacement head for my Joe Blo pump.
I replaced the original because I seemed to be bending a lot of valve inserts, the new one is an SKS EVA and it blows off the valve during inflation. I will accept that I may not be doing it correctly but this is not brain surgery.
Is there such a thing as a easy to use effective pump head?

I'll take that as a 'No' then.
Incidentally I discovered that the pin that holds the SKS head together is broken - after 2 weeks - I'll send it back but what to replace it with? That was my original question.

My specialized track pump lasted 10 years before causing trouble. I then managed to get a free pump by sweet talking a UK importer!

at the risk of a shameless plug, how about this one? It's a Topeak Smarthead hose upgrade

You want this http://www.evanscycles.com/products/topeak/twinhead-upgrade-kit-ec033897

I got one from Evans about 4 years ago when my Specialised track pump valve head finally gave up but the main pump was still fine. It was far cheaper than buying a whole new track pump and I couldn't find any replacement rubber inserts for the head which were worn out. I think I paid about £12 though. It is a quality head all metal and has proved far better than the original Specialised one ever was. You get about 1m of tubing and quite a few connectors to fit various fittings - all metal btw. I cut and spliced it onto the hosing just before the old head of my existing Specialised Track pump so now I have about 2m of tube which is sooooo handy as frankly 1m or less is so restrictive when you are trying to inflate tyres in a hurry. Although I used my own quality jubilee clips to secure the hose to the connectors, Topeak do provide some in the kit which are ok and will do the job fine, mine were far superior. Took about 15 minutes to do in all. Maybe it takes you less as I am quite thorough and like to take my time. My track pump is far now better than the original. Fit and forget.

HTH.
