Ok, I've not used the bike for some time because of work/illness....anyway, last night I decided to give it a once over oils what needed it and pump up the tyres.

Off I go pumping away watching the accurate(Lidl trackpump) dial thinking that the pressure isnt increasing and the pump is making some strange noises!!!

BANG......cat runs off, dog bites itself wife decides to come and investigate rather than buggering off with the cat.

I'm left with the handle in my hands and the "bottom part" between my feet......looks like the "araldite" type substance has given up the ghost....shall I reglue it and hope for the best or stop buying supposed quality accurate products from lidl(could have been aldi) and get a proper pump?

When you get a decent pump you'll realise that the Lidl pump gauge was hopelessly optimistic.

I've got a Revolution brand pump from Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op. Not expensive, but more trustworthy than the rubbish from Lidl/Aldi.

Yes
Or you could buy my Tesco track pump that still sort of works ... but has long since been supplanted in my own toolset by a Joe Blow....

You can get a decent one for £25 - how does that compare to lidl/aldi prices?

My specialized pump looks like it's welded together - try glue again and it might last for another 12 months.
