Track Floor Pump

I'm looking to buy a new track floor pump as my old one has given up the ghost - I'd like one that has both schrader and presta valves (one of my bikes has schrader vales and the other one has presta valves) and was thinking about this one (the only problem is it doesn't have a gauge - is that a problem do you think?):

I'd go for this one, solid piece of kit for £20, no need to wait for delivery or Tredz to tell you it is out of stock. There is no point IMO having a new track pump without a gauge, especially for road tyres

You might even find its £15 as my pal did last Sunday in cyclerepublic

The pump without a gauge perhaps. You're paying for the branding

Id look at the topeak joe blow sport 11. I have one for 3 bikes and it has done sterling work and is held in good regard here for the price. I got mine at halfords on the click and collect which was £10 cheaper than walking into the store and getting it. (always check this out as the web price is normaly cheaper at Halfords). You will be able to get one for sub £30 somewhere. You can also get replacement valves if necessary.

If you go towards the very cheap end expect to be looking for a new one sooner than you'd like.

Just don't get the Joe blow max that Halfords have on offer, mine was a hateful object for pumping road tyres! Get one that pumps up to 160psi

I had two Joe Blow pumps and the seals failed on both on the head (I think) and now have one of these http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Specialized-Airtool-HP-Floor-Pump_57473.htm - has the plus of a single head for either valve, a much longer hose, and best of all the head fits between the spokes of my Brompton which was not the case with the Topeak. A superb bit of kit

As per vickster's reply - the pump without a gauge. Unless your superpower is accurately predicting tyre pressure w/o a gauge...

+1 for a Halfords pump. Shrader and Presta easily changeable, gauge and if you can get one on discount and/or sale even better value.

I have had a Joe Blow since 2011 and it hasn't let me down despite regular use looking after the fleet of approx 11 bikes at Skol Towers. Has no trouble at all getting my road bike tyres upto 120psi.

It gets a from me.

A fine piece of kit, currently on offer at Wiggle and Halfords will price match if you'd rather go to an actual shop today.

I recommend the Joe Blow pump, gauge is really useful.
Bought mine 5 years past ,no problems.

I fixed my track pump a few months ago after the lever on the head snapped off. I couldn't find the exact part but found a usable alternative part on eBay for just a couple of pounds. It works perfectly.

Is there any chance that the pump in question is actually wounded rather than dead?
