Townsend Beartooth

Hi guys and gals.

I have been offered a Townsend Beartooth 10sp MTB as a fixer-upper. I have googled the name but can find next to no info about the bike. Anyone out there have any info they can share. Is it worth the investment of time and small amount of money to have as a second or primary bike?

Townsend appear to be brand sold by Littlewoods Direct. I think I'd avoid. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will be along to correct me.

Townsend are a heap of shyte. You'd be better off giving your money to the next Big Issue seller that you see - it'll make him happy and give you a righteous glow, which you won't get if you let a Townsend anywhere near you.

Found out yesterday that the bike is no longer available so that saves me the trouble of coming up with a polite refusal
