Hi all

Just spotted a sportive on my doorstep: http://www.xtramilee...-of-the-roaches

Thinking of doing the 75 miler. It would be my first sportive and am wondering how hard it might be with a chunk of the Peaks thrown in.

Anyone else doing it?

Yes. Just got my legs back from the Midland Monster so will be OK for Sunday. The main route takes me past my back door and I wonder if this isnt t also the case for alot of other entrants too. Perhaps some visionary might suggest hopping onto the route at a certain time and recording your own lap time. Save on the C02 it causes getting to the start. Forecast; showers.

Blackshaw moor on it's own isn't that bad as it's almost a platuea, it's getting up to that bit thats the bugger!

This event has been cancelled this year due to lack of numbers... shame as I had signed up and was looking forward to it. Had an email saying my refund has been sent but no actual money as yet!
