I don't know if anyone else was watching the last big race of the season... but it turned out to be a cracker with an entirely unexpected winner, Oliver Zaugg of Leopard-Trek with a perfectly timed late attack on the steep last climb and then just hanging on ahead of the chasers on the road into Lecco.

It's been a really fine season all round!

I didn't see it out here FM but reading the report it was a very surprise winner who grabbed his opportunity on the last climb and made it stick. Good for him.

I also agree with you that it has been a full and exciting year for the sport, let's hope next season will be the same!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
