Today is the TTT and will be a big test for Astana to see if they can keep Liephiemer in the lead for GC. On paper they look good but there are some other good teams and Team Saxo Bank and Cervélo TestTeam will be two that could do some damage IMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love a TTT - gonna be watching tonight to see how this one turns out.

Astana for me will not be beaten in this!

Team Time Trial - beautiful things. The team are like one being.....I miss them at the TdeF!

Think they are back this year however - maybe wrong???? Anyone?

Unlike Kenny, as a spectator I am not a big fan. Teams are important enough anyway, without providing the stronger teams with what is essentially a free bonus...

I've just looked at the stages again in Cycling news and realised it says ITT, so it's every man for himself and not a Team Effort. Will be interesting to see how Liephiemer gets on with some of the good boys also in the field. I suppose there is no chance of Armstrong trying to unseat him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At 24km its relatively short although it does have a sting in the tail with a stiff little climb. Mick Rogers is in good form at the moment and could pile some pressure on little Levi and he's my pick for the stage win.

Slightly better then. I am still not a great fan of ITTs either. I like things with real tactics and cut-and-thrust.

Mixed feelings on that. On the one hand an early TTT can really bugger the race from the beginning, on the other hand it really is a beautiful sight to behold in real life as they sweep through a bend, come out raggedy and then all put the hammer down as they get back in line and momentum: Lovely.

Looking like a good call!
