Interesting to see how many punctures there have just been on this stage! Hayman, Greipel and Albasini all punctured on the descent of Peak Hill. I did the Pro Tour Ride last week and punctured 5 times on that route. I thought the road surfaces were generally very poor, and the weather did not help, creating a gravelly silt all over the top of the road surface. There was one patch of road, may well have been the descent after Peak Hill, that felt like riding over cobbles - very badly kept cobbles - it was so poor!

I watched them ride out of Honiton and managed to get some pictures, i think there were more Police motorcycles to control the rolling road blocks than cyclist's

After the snow in the early part of the year Devon was officially changed to "Potholeshire"

We watched it and had a great time! Caught the riders at Peak Hill and then just before at the end in Teignmouth - lots and lots of people had turned out to watch them. Also rode the Pro Tour Route last week but didn't find the road surfaces particularly bad, maybe I'm just used to it!
