"The Most Annoying Man In The World."
Hello,

Managed to get a good location on the Newton side of Waddington Fell yesterday for my first try at "action sports" photography, I usually specialise in Landscapes (http://www.definedlight.com) so this was a bit of challenge for me.

Biggest fright for me was when I stood up from a very low crouched position the Peloton was quite literally less than a foot away from my face (unbeknown I tell you) and if you look at one of the shots you can see a Rabobank rider staring down at me, anyways without further ado:-

He needs a devil's outfit!

The main bunch of the peloton is arriving with Team Rabobank working for the yellow jersey

Looks like the climb is getting to one of the riders...

Our very own Mr Rob Hayles!

Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did taking them, the only disadvantage of this photography lark is that you don't actually get to see any of the race, but I really enjoyed the couple of hours up there and will be back next year!

Lounging around in the sun whilst I was working. Next thing you'll say is you rode there and enjoyed a nice cafe stop

I was going to ride up the Fell but I didn't in the end as my camera and lens are worth more than my bike...

(Canon 5D + 24-105mm L lens)

Oh and I have uploaded a full high res image of the King Of the Mountains shot here:-

If anyone is interested at the level of detail you can capture, be warned though it is 8Mb!

I was going to ask about your camera and lens - the shots are pin sharp and the colour balance excellent.
