This one seems to have slipped under the radar a bit but it sounds like an interesting race - most notable happening so far being Tom Boonen beating Tyler Farrar in the sprint finish on Sunday's stage 2. I bet Cav wished he'd had Boonen in Paris!

Yep, I saw the results but couldn't decide whether it was worth a thread!
Farrar manages to find someone to beat him almost as much as Matt Goss!

Kenny Dehaes won today's stage in a bunch finish ahead of Romain Feillu, unremarkably enough.

More interesting is the fact that Jelle Vanendert appears to be in this race, so must be back to full health after he was kept out of the Tour by a parasitic infection - fancies himself as the next Chris Froome, obviously.

Greg Van Avermaet took the final stage with a late solo attack that also gave him overall victory ahead of Kolobnev. As if anyone cares.

Probably makes him the most successful BMC rider this year.

Kolobnev cared, he had bike problems that cost enough time for him to lose the GC. Same bike which was hurled away a few seconds after finishing. Thus he lost his first stage race win of any kind by seconds due to a mechanical. A tough one to take.

That's unfortunate. I didn't manage to catch any live coverage so had to go by the reports. GVA was 20 seconds behind Kolobnev on GC at the start of the stage so with the ten second win bonus, needed to finish ten seconds ahead of Kolobnev, and in the event finished 20 seconds ahead of him. Unlucky for Kolobnev but credit to GVA for aggressive tactics.
