Folks I did this last year and I have to say it was the worst sportive I have participated in. The route is very strange. You cycle along the beech promenade avoiding all the dogs, kids, people out enjoying themselves and the last thing they want is a bunch of cyclists getting in their way. The route also takes in pavements alongside motorways and some very bad cycle paths. Don't get me wrong there are some really nice scenic points but whole I vowed never to do it again. The rest of the day was reasonbably well organised and the food stops were good but the route was a major and lets be honest, the most important factor in a sportive

There are plenty sportives out there that are much much better than the one.

Thanks for the post gmac... if it's the same this year then I'll be feeding back to the event team.
:hello: George, where have you been?
I see you need to raise £1 per mile for the Corps charity.
Looks like a good day out, but me being a cynic b**** if there is fundraising to be done would rather do it for a cause more local.
You coming for PoP on the 19th?
Ciao!

Haven't been anywhere Pat, just haven't had anything interesting to post about lately.
Can't make POP as I'm working, sorry.
I was meant to be working too, took the day off
Nice to hear from you again!
