Did some desperation fettling on the gears on my Merlin carbon bike last night. Due to go back to the shop as I just cannot remove whatever metallic rattling is going on.
However, yesterday I downloaded the Shimano technical manual for the new 11 speed mechs, placed bike in turbo trainer and methodically worked through each page of the manual. Early indications are good. I had some things set up really poorly by yours truly but in essence the whole indexing shebang needed resetting. Rode to work and back and it was joyously quiet
So, might have saved myself a trip to the supplier's shop. Huzzah.
