Mile 10 into a 50-miler yesterday, p*nct*re fairy struck... changed tube, used my small frame pump (with guage) to get up to 6.0 bar (whatever that is in psi)... took ages, and knackered me out, and I bust one presta valve.... so, thinking of Topeak Road Morph.... yay or nay, folks?

I have the Road Morph G and I last used it a couple of weeks ago when I serviced my galaxy, and I reckon it took a couple of mins per wheel to reinflate.

What I like about it is the handle folds out into a sort of T shape and so you can get a good gripe on it and there is a flap that folds down that you can put your foot on to hold it still.

I use a track pump on my MTB but it wont go high enough for the galaxy and I find the Road Morph G is like a little track pump.

Lookin' good so far... cheers Phil... my mini-pump has been fine so far, but it's murder to get a decent pressure to continue a ride properly, rather than just 'get me home'... being 10 miles into my ride, I wasn't ready to go home... looking for a decent solution, and I think the road morph might just be it...

I think the galaxy tyres are about 80 odd psi and I got them there with no struggle at all, I like the fact that you can hold it still and get a decent grip on the handle.

I also have a normal mini pump for my MTB and its shoot its all over the place when I pump it but because the Road Morph has a pipe you dont have to hold it onto the valve while you are pumping it.

I've got a Road Morph and it's fantastic. Such a simple idea but it works brilliantly. IIRC Edinburgh Bike Co-Op make their own version which is a bit cheaper than the original.

I've got the mini morph version and its good enough to put 100+ psi without too much effort or time in to my tubs, also used it on the wifes MTB and did the trick there too, I only take it when I'm on a 100+ mile ride as I mainly use co2 inflators cause they are quicker and easier to sling in the seat pack. But I'd whole heartedly recommend the pump as a great stand alone pump

I have a road morph which I use on my tourer. It's a nifty design and makes getting decent pressure alot easier. Remains to be seen how long it lasts though as it does feel a bit flimsy.

I'd recommend it.

I've had mine for 3 years - the only breakage was the (pretty useless) foot pad.

So how do you pump without the floor pad? I did think that was a bit flimsy. We've just got one as our Bromptons need to be 100psi (7 bar I think) and the little pump that came with them wasn't up to the job. Have checked the tyre pressure with the Topeak and it seems to work fine - no pump ups from completely flat yet though (yay!).

Just the same as normal! The foot pad offers very little in the way of additional stability.
