Tonight's Storm....

Well it struck here in the dead of night, I was conscious of it going on for a fair bit before I woke fully. Lightning striking constantly and heavy thunder. The man hole covers in the street had popped up with fountains of water spewing up from them.

Meanwhile, here in west London W14, the drama queens at the Met Office should be calling this light rain "Storm Pathetic". A shockingly poor show.

Nothing at all of any note here, either overnight or at the moment.
And after three days of promising the Apocalypse, I've just received a Met Office update cancelling the 'don't panic' weather warning but advising there is still a chance of 'scattered light showers'...

I heard a lot of rumbling and banging which I first thought was fireworks, but then I decided it was thunder.
It was a strange noise though, stopped fairly abruptly so I got to sleep which was good.

I'm very envious. I love a good electrical storm. All we got, after all the anticipation, was ........ it rained a bit.
