went out tonight and cycled to my swing dance class. When I arrived I realised I'd left the key for my lock in my other bag. Luckly another cyclist locked out bikes together so I could attend.

In the way home I managed to cycle up one of the biggest hills in my area (parson street one way system for anyone in Bristol). Very proud of myself and I currently believe anything is possible.

Magic, I had a similar night last night. Drove out to Aberfoyle, cycled round to Loch Katrine the wrong way if you like. Didn't realise the single track was just so up and down, also the first 5 miles or so was not ideal as the road surface was extremely poor and at times I wished I was anywhere else but there. Anyone who has done that run will know the terrain is hardly mountainous but there are loads of smaller pulls with very few flat bits. Around halfway I realised I was having fun and by the time we arrived at Rob Roy's clan burial ground I was loving it. A couple of miles through the head of the loch, and one last obstacle to get over, the Dukes Pass. Probably easy enough for most, but a substantial event for a fat ex smoker. Down side.............realising I hadn't hit record on Strava. Stuff it, great night, who needs Strava.
