As long as I breathe, I attack.
I hasten to add in the car .........

The stop i used to use was Morcott but it seems the cafe doesnt open till 11 am on a monday so i am after alternatives around halfway with toilet facilities for a demanding precocious family .
Last time we stopped there the little chef was closed and the garage owner wouldnt let ususe the toilet and my lad has polycystic renal failure.

At Sleaford there's a Little Thief, and on the other side of the roundabout there's a McDonald's.

Rereading the op properly I realise this won't be much use, as I'm talking about the A17, not the A47.

There is a small services with a McDonald's just off the A47 at Peterborough though.

Uppingham Peterborough, Eye & Wisbech..so ok fot that 40 mile stretch, you may need to just turn off but its a very short detour..1 mile etc and some on the 47..

Kings lynn and Swaffham..then your well on your way to Norfolk..
depends which way you go at Lynn junction

We have similar issues in our family, so it's something we also try to plan ahead (usually just in case, but it does help!). I don't know the area, but it's often easy to locate big supermarkets on (or just off) major routes on Google maps before you set off and they all seem to have toilet facilities and cafes.

There's also service stations at Thorney Toll, Guyhirn and St Paul's Road near Walpole Highway between Peterborough and King's Lynn, but maybe check the signs on Street View to make sure they have toilets?

There are supermarkets just into Wisbech on the A1101 (Morrison's), just into King's Lynn on the A149 (Sainsburys and Tesco), just into Swaffham on the A1065 (Waitrose), just into Costessey on A1074 (I think that's the road number - Sainsbury) and just into Norwich on A140 (Tesco).
