I wonder if any forum users would be interested in keeping this thread alive by archiving their ride, distance, times, speeds, hills etc this may motivate us to get of our ^&$£'s and put some mileage in, if it dont get used its not cost owt !!!
Ill start with my run today was a 10 mile burn up, which I thoroughly enjoyed, Id selected a route with several really steep hills (upwards), the feeling I get when I conquer a hill is great, when I got home I felt really good, my fitness is really improving and I can relax now knowing that Im on course to achieve my new Year resolution which is:- todo a 100 ride before Jan 1st 2010..... yea right, :blush:cant believe I really said that !

There's a similar thread in the cafe "your ride today", good luck on the 100 miles.

Sully , I got a decent road bike in March 2007 and did the Dunwich Dynamo in July/Aug 2007 (I don't remember the exact date).
You could achieve your target , I'm sure.

It sounds like you're after a blog.
have a read of what thjis cyclechat memebers been up to. http://bikevirgin.blogspot.com/

(He's just started too!)

That'll be me then!

I keep hearing and reading this 100 mile cornerstone.....seems impossible to me, but then again I did 40 miles in the same day last week. Commuting to and from work - took me 2 hours 40 of riding.

That seemed impossible to me when I bought my bike in december. After the 40 miles I didn't feel too bad so who knows!?

I'm hoping to do a 40 miler (heading over to Elton Cafe on recommendation) next week some time to see f I can do it in 'one ride' so to speak!?
