Just got some 50mm wheels which come with valve extenders. Any good tips on how to fit them?

They just screw onto the top of the presta valve (which is left open) and some have a hex slot in the top to tighten it up fully.
You can put a small dab of superglue on the open valve to prevent it sealing whilst you are riding along.
Alternatively with heavy extenders you can screw them on as above and then inflate the tyre, remove the extender and lightly tighten up the valve with a needle or screwdriver - but you need to remember to take the extender on every ride.

Thanks. The good news is that I have some tubes with 60mm valves and these are fine. So the extenders are not needed!

Worth carrying a valve extender for emergencies till as you may not always be able to get hold of a spare tube with 60mm valves. One thing with valve extenders is that you often need a bit of PTFE tape just to create a good air-tight seal.
