I got a second hand Giant Revel 0 at the beginning of February and have ridden it almost daily, up hill and down dale as well as 6 miles a day to work. I have no idea how many miles it had done before I had it but I must have done at least 500 on it.

It no longer feels a smooth as it did, the crank or bottom bracket is slightly clunky and the gears and chain slip a bit. I have looked after it but have also ridden it hard and it's had a knock or two.

I have decided maybe it's time to replace the bottom bracket, chain and cassette. It I go for similar components that are on it now I am looking at around £40. Now my question, I do not mind spending a bit more for better parts but have no idea what to get. What would you suggest to replace the following on a 9 speed MTB.

FSA RPM bottom bracket
KMC Z99 chain
Shimano HG 30 11x32 cassette

I would also have to get a crank removal tool and a BB tool.

Thanks.

Would be interested as I've got a revel 1 and am looking at how I can upgrade when parts wear out

The O is higher spec than the 1, althought not sure by how much. First thing I'm looking at is chain and looking at the X range of chains rather than the basic Z99.

I'm also after some QR skewers but in blue
