time pedals to shimano shoes?

can it be done, old time pedals never been used , equipe pro, with 2 part cleats system. therefore needing 4 holes in shoe, but shoe has standard 3 holes.

is there a plate?

yenrod is that just the cleats as it isnt very descriptive. i have the cleats.
