...I cant get the new Bianchi seat post to tilt my saddle. It seems as if it's either firmly stuck, welded in position or isnt designed to tilt but just look like it should...any ideas?

..Otherwise the bike is WUNDERBAR:biggrin:

You are undoing the clamp bolt first, aren't you?

yep...

I should add it is a Seatpost: RC SP-928-G Carbon

It looks to me like the upper bit is still morphed to the lower part ..I was tempted to knock it a bit with a cloth wrapped hammer but th epost is carbon so I decided not to.

Put the saddle back on and leave the bolt a little bit loose. Now grab the front and back of the saddle and using your weight, rock it back and forwards. That should loosen it. Maybe a wee squirt of wd40 or something as well. If that doesn't work I'm not sure what else would.

Don't worry about breaking the post, unless of course you're belting the carbon with a hammer or something, they're pretty strong. It has to carry your weight so if it's weak enough that it's going to break it's much better it happens in the house than out on the road where it could have you under a bus or in a ditch.

Mine was also stuck when I tried to adjust the tilt. As mentioned above, put the saddle back on with the bolt loose and rock it.

I ended up using a screwdriver, through the large hole in the "D" shape part, to give me extra leverage, but it will budge.

I think it had been like that from the manufacture..i.e never been touched at all by the shop who I suspect would have dealt with it had they discovered it.
