I've got a Marin Fairfax (hybrid) with Tiagra and have realised one of the plastic stoppers/screws on the shifters is missing. Would like to replace but no idea what it's called. It's the one that you remove to lubricate periodically.

Any thoughts on name and, even better, where to get a represent replacement would be much appreciated.

Hopefully you can just see the hole where the screw once was.

If it's a 1/4 turn plastic grub screw, then this might do the job - http://www.petracycles.co.uk/shimano-spares-sl-m570-inner-hole-cap-p-6851.html

Wow that looks like the one thanks very much. Do you know if this has been off a while whether it's necessary to disassemble and clean the shifter?

As above - it only ever needs to be removed when changing the gear inner cable, so as long as it's shifting OK then don't go fiddling
