I have an ultegra 10 speed groupset brand new and unused. I'am thinking about swapping it with the tiagra on my giant bike. Would it be worth doing

It won't make you a single MPH quicker, or your shifts more reliable.

It will look very sweet though.

Shame to waste an Ultegra groupset on a cheap Giant bike. Save it for N+1 (frame and forks). Or maybe your Giant was underspecced to start with. You don't identify the model.

It's a giant contend sl 2.I have already changed the wheels and tyres and the ultegra groupset is just asking to be fitted

You asked "would it be worth doing?" The Tiagra 4700 matches the quality of the Giant Contend and (in line with @Drago 's response) an upgrade to Ultegra would be merely for the sake of it, and whatever fun you had doing the work. Save the Ultegra groupset for a higher quality f&f or if you've decided anyway, don't waste your time asking this forum. The value of the 'upgraded' bike will not rise by as much as the groupset cost difference (maybe about half). Maybe your driver is the need for the Tiagra on another bike - only you know/can have a complete view.
