 sorry...

i had been a little bemused over the past couple of weeks as to why, when i've trimmed down a bit and generally become much fitter since beginning my commute, that i've been finding it a little bit 'snug' when pulling my jeans on. my butt has tightened up & my tummy has trimmed down - much to my g/f's annoyance - so that couldn't have been the reason but when i pulled off the lycra after a long ride night before last, i noticed that my thighs have bulked up hugely! i'm pretty sure that they're bigger than they were when i used to play competetive football almost every waking moment in my youth! i'm 35 now and it's the most dramatic change in my physique i can recall!

thank you cycling! i just need to work out how to tone the rest of me now

Get a hand cranked bike. Should do the trick. Possibly.

yeah, SWMBO has noticed this, my stomach and my ass have shrunk, my calves have some definition and my thighs have gotten big!
makes fitting pants a little interesting...

also LOVE the thundercats ref

I think it interesting how a bike can produce two sets of different thighs, take Chris Hoy and Bradley Wiggins. Same device used differently produces different results, ok and some weights maybe.

In the days before fashion police I was wearing some tight cords and ran up 3 flights of stairs, they split from the knee to my crotch, much to everyones amusment.

Angelfishsolo,
Mrs Gere got anoyed with her shape changing but not her waist, then she lost waist inches, so hang on in there. Just having the muscle burns calories.

My legs are the complete opposite, they have decent muscle definition, but think andy schleck and that is the sort of legs I have.

It must come down to the individual style of cycling I guess.
