Just had to return a base layer with a hole in it (after two washes) to Wiggle. I live in Switzerland and it would have been a hassle to exchange (postage to the UK is very expensive over here, and I probably would have got hit for import tax/handling charge when the replaced item entered Switzerland). I emailed a photo of the hole with an explanation and within about 8 hours had the cash refunded to my Paypal account. I was very pleased.
I suppose for every good experience with a company, there is likely to be a bad one. I never had to do anything with either company which requires them to go out of their way - this is likely to be where normal decent customer service morphs into excellent customer service.

I needed a non-standard cateye light mounting that I couldn't find on the Wiggle site (or anywhere else for that matter!).
Emailed them asking if they stocked it. They replied to say that they didn't but could get hold of it from distributor and would put on the site.
They did, I ordered. Simples.
Found Evan's shops to be unhelpful about anything that wasn't in their system.
Funny how we all have different experiences of retailers....suspect it is down to different people, different demands, time of day, day of the week and many other variables!
