Obviously the source is a secret *cough* because it's taken me three weeks to find a supplier but....

If I could supply you with a 1 metre length of a thin bendy metal tube, through which you could pass gear and brake cables to make threading them through frames a 1 minute job, how much would you be prepared to pay?

£10.00 posted UK?

Er... you just poke and wriggle it through! A small bend in the end makes it easy to manouver it through the hole at the other end, you then just push your cable though and withdraw the tube. Job done in a minute.

You should try threading the thin wire control cables along model aeroplane fuselages then. Same problem, similar distances, but far more obstructions along the way. Sometimes I devote a whole evening to that job - and then only after a deep breath and a calming Islay malt first. HLaB's method is the way to go.
