Many people have many bad things to say about Crank Bros pedals. I do not.
I'm not an engineer, a metallurgist or a quality-control inspector - I just like the pedals.
I know the bearings (or lack of same) attract criticism, but I like them.
My children and I have Egg Beaters and Candies on various MTBs and road bikes.
I've been using them for about 5 or 6 years and just love them...
Well... I was unable to fix an old pair of cheapo Egg Beaters, so I sent them off to 2Pure, the UK importer.
The bearings had gone and they were absurdly wobbly. I'd crashed on both sides (MTB) a billion times.
I got a parcel this morning. A free pair of Egg Beater 1 pedals as a goodwill gesture since mine couldn't be fixed.
Say what you like about the product, but that's pretty good customer service for a pair of very old pedals with no receipt and obvious signs of multiple off-road, unplanned dismounts.
Top marks to 2Pure and Crank Bros. The gesture made me happy!
