About to go on a holiday though, so looking for that to spike back up! PS The 'goal' isn't really my goal, but the Wii fit makes you keep setting one. I never started cycling to lose weight, its just a happy side effect

Why can't he do both?
I've lost 10kg since the start of the year. I had set a goal of losing 15kg in total by the end of the year, but I've plateaued a bit recently, so I might miss that.

Heh, just for the record - I'm using the Wii purely to weigh and record my weights. Don't think I've used the thing for exercise since I bought it, for about a week!

I've changed nothing about my habits other than I'm commuting to work, and because I enjoy it, going for rides on my days off. I haven't changed my diet (which is awful) or anything else!

I'm losing almost no weight at all playing Super Mario Kart, what am I doing wrong?

(Well done)

Good job! What happened in May BTW?

I accidentally told the Wii I was wearing heavy clothing and it subtracted four pounds  A pen and pad of paper are cheaper, but they don't put a little image of you on screen as a fat man running around, or make pretty graphs!

You want to get a proper set of bathroom scales, like these :becool:

They'll even Tweet your weight... If you want them to.

I'm not doing much cycling (because of the job I'm doing at present) and my weight has gone up alarmingly! Hope it comes down as quickly when I can get back riding again!!!!

I dropped a stone in weight earlier this year, was on holiday last week and did no cycling, I haven't been on the scales yet but I suspect I've undone a lot of the good work I did shifting the weight.

I was musing on the effects of cycling a few nights ago, and realised that it's probably improved my balance, not just because the act of cycling involves continual re-balancing, but also because my legs have larger amounts of muscle mass (and it just keeps growing), while from the waist up, I just have a normal, trim build. This puts a lot more of my weight below the waist*.

Been on the scales this morning, its not good news, I've put on half a stone! Thats a shocker, we walked miles round Manhattan whilst we were away, perhaps I should have stayed away from the breakfast platters.
