Well?

Its the nut which goes ontop of the one thats got the bearing under it. What does it do, what would happen if i doesnt go on?
I've misplaced mine, cant find it, dont have a clue where it is
So, what would happen if i didnt put it on?

they should only be couple of quid from bike shop.

I've got a used Ultegra locking nut (1") if you don't find it - PM me - fairly good condition, but usual adjustment marks.

Free, no charge !

I'll have a look for it later - probably got a washer too - ideally you have bottom race, shim/washer then top lock nut.

I have the washer, and even the old wedge, and the old section of stem. Its been the only bit i've lost so far(touch wood)
