Hi all,

I am cutting down the number of bikes i own atm. I did have four;
- Road bike
- MTB
- Fixie (project)
and Hybrid

Im aiming for two; a road/fixie and MTB.

I bought my Trigon Road bike around 10 months ago. It has now covered an estimated 1-1.5k miles since new. Its a 58cm frame and is in very good condition.

Cranks and Chainset are FSA Pro (carbon), with Dura-ace chain, brakes, STI's, front and rear derailers, Ultegra Cassette. Wheels are Falcrum 7s, with perfect condition Conti Gator Skin Tyres 700c x 23c (wheelset has covered around 300 miles since new, i have receipt for these). Handlebars are Ritchey Pro as well as stem. Has Trigon carbon seatpost, with a San Marco carbon seat.

(please ignore wheels, this are not up for sale)

Im not sure on the going rate of these bikes, as Trigon bikes are very rare to find. Would anyone have a rough idea of what i should be looking at? I know the parts new are worth between £2-3k.

I think you put this thread in the wrong place? can I say ask the Mods to move it for you. Is it for sale? are you asking for advice?...

Its a trigon frame, forks and seatpost are also trigon.

The bike was built by the them, with additional parts e.g. ritchey and fsa.

Im happy to sell now, although i was more interested in working out a value to start this off for, before creating a classified advert

Im not sure how much i want for it tbh?!

Ideally around £1.5k, but im not sure it is worth that amount second hand.

I fancy building something up similar, potentially with a 60cm frame probably TT style, as id like to start training/competing ASAP.

I have a Trigon frame and fork, badged as a Prorace Styx (currently unused, and for sale if anyones intrested) which was also the same frame as the Marin Stelvio. Nice bikes. Trigon are a chinese carbon manufacturer who seem to know their onions and make frames for a few manufacturers.

You could buy all the bits you have on it for just under £1000, so if the frame is worth £1000, your £1500 asking price isn't too bad, though I'd have to say with the likes of the Planet X pro carbon, equipped with a similar Dura Ace and carbon FSA chainset coming in at £1300, you might struggle to get £1500.

So realistically, i could put this up on forums/ebay for £1500 and see how it goes.

I am in no rush to sale at all. its currently indoors (nice and clean) waiting to turbo training to commence (when magnet arrives).

I have a fixed TT bike arriving tomorrow, so will be getting used to that shortly

At the end of the day it is upto you and if you think it is worth £1500 ok then the thing to do is see if you can sell it at that.

It is a nice bike but I would not give you that for it.

You could try, there's a chance somebody will buy it. Although as others have pointed out £1500 is a bit on the steep side.

With it being a relatively unknown make you could well be looking at less than half that on ebay so make sure you have a reserve.
