Thinking of doing a course

My aim is to be able to build bicycles. Im not that bothered about suspensions or wheel truing right now. I just want to be able to build a road bicycle from the relevant components and maintain/replace them over time. I may look into more specialized stuff if I am good enough at this. Is the Velotech Gold any good?

No - go to The Bike Inn in Spalding and do their 1 week course - far better

Velotech Gold to my mind is not for beginners. Certainly The Bike Inn has a good reputation.
If you joined a local cycling club, you would likely find someone who will show you how to do all that you are wanting to do, (might cost you a couple of pints ).
